Variations in hydrological variables using distributed hydrological model in permafrost environment

چکیده

The Yangtze River Source Region (YaRSR) is located in the third polar region, most threatened zone by global warming after Arctic. Permafrost covers eighty percent of total area YaRSR, while rest seasonally frozen ground. Due to a significant rise air temperature, degradation permafrost could occur. coverage river basin greatly controls its hydrology. This study focuses on hydrological modeling this environment using Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT). SWAT model was calibrated (1985–2000) validated (2001–2015) daily time step. results were also compared monthly scale. An impermeable layer introduced within represent conditions. streamflow strongly dependent seasonal variation precipitation rising limb hydrograph shows melting snow, contribution soil water, thawing during spring-summer season. well restricted deep percolation water. During spring season, mainly consists surface runoff because soils. ground lead an increase groundwater flow streamflow. Ultimately, depletes as temperature gets close freezing point. describes application better analyze understand hydrology permafrost/frozen with limited data availability.

Errors in Hydrological Variables and Their Effect on Model Parameters

We present a method to ascertain optimal parameter values in the presence of a known measurement error distribution. This method is known as simulation extrapolation (SIMEX). Say X is an input variable with no error and Y is the response variable. Consider instead of X our input variable is W where, W= X+ N(0, σ). The calibrated parameter with W as input is called the naïve parameter estimate. ...

Hydrological Modeling of Zolachai Watershed in Salmas Townshipe (Chehric Alia) in GIS Environment by Using of ARC SWAT Model

In the present study, the ARC SWAT model in ARC GIS software was used to model the Zolachai watershed in the city of Salmas (Chehric Alia). For sensitivity analysis, calibration, SPSS statistical software was used. In the model used from precipitation data, minimum temperature, maximum temperature and daily relative humidity of rain gauge and synoptic stations in the study area for 35 years (...
